35mm.. and a Three Piece Suit...?

Okay, so i spent about six hours in the photo lab yesterday, getting the hang of all of the chemicals and all the work that goes into developing your own photographs, and this was the best that i came up with. it was a real shock to realize that the chemicals were the least of my problems and i need to work, very hard, on my shooting techniques. i guess I'm not upset about it, it certainly gives me something to look forward to, and I'm going to try to shoot 48 or 72 exposures this week, so i have a lot more shots to choose from.
i have a critique coming up in a few weeks, and i need to get six bomb shots... and i don't believe that i have any.
this roll of film was meant to be showing action, so Ben and i went out on our skateboards and did what we could. i thought the light was great midday, and the backdrop of the graveyard was really cool, but i ended up over exposing all of the blur motion photos... stop motion came out great though. i have full size tripod on order, so i will be able to do a bit better with the blur motion, and be able to slow down the shutter speed in the process.
this photo was taken by Ben, its a bit out of focus, and looks to be about thirty years old... i don't mind it though, i think it looks really cool. the dust marks and the slight scratches give it a weathered look, and i don't know how harsh Mary is at her critiques, but perhaps this would make a great stop motion exposure... i don't want to settle though. so we will see.
well, off to my New Zealand study abroad meeting, hopefully that works out, and ill be able to take some great pictures there!
