Miracle Drug

alright, so my critique was moved to today, being that there was a snowday for the original date, and spring break was last week. This, seemingly, was a great opportunity to make sure that i got the shots that i needed for it, and have plenty of time to go about developing and printing. Right? WRONG..

over break i went out of my way to buy a 36 EXP. roll of Black and white film, thinking that it was more of an investment than anything, and that by taking more pictures, i would be able to catch the ONE that i needed. well, after getting super creative on roll A-VI, i spent two hours developing yesterday to have the film come out blank. SHIT. i guess it happens to all photographers.. and this was my first, but it was still pretty upsetting, because i know i had some really good shots on that roll.

two days ago, i was particularly bored, and so i took one of my old couches, and rolled it outside, and lit it on fire. i used the couch to be a photographic study of flames and fire, but i was really bored too. i took some great exposures, and i think that they would have come out very very very well, but alas, they exist no longer. truely a shame. and now i have had an extra two weeks to get a shot that i need for a critique... and i dont even have that. mary is going to kill me!

Within Destruction

some more pictures from my 35 mm photo class. was supposed to have a critique today, but it was cancelled on account of snow, so i was able to rest easy. i have one more shot to finalize for the critique as well, but was not able to finish it on time. hopefully, now that i have another 2 weeks to do it, i can make up for lost time, and get some 72 exposures done over break. we'll see.

this is Ben, and this is the Blur motion picture that i was assigned to take. it took me five different sheets to get the print right, and required some assistance from a fellow photographer, but we were able to do it, i think it looks great. i hope Ben likes it too.

this is a photo that Ben took of me, and as it is a bit out of focus, i still like it a lot. the shadowing of the pavement is awesome, and the pine and maple trees behind the gravestones give it a really cool look. this is the stop motion picture for my critique. the class was also take a pan motion picture with a blur for background and moving object in focus, but i was unable to capture that exposure for the critique.
This is a picture of middle-ground focus where the aperture is set to a medium setting, and the background and foreground are out of focus. i LOVE these sunglasses. free stuff is the best.

thats all i have for now, back later.
